I respect the hell out of the Jackalope Travel Stop owner’s marketing game. It starts with the storefront:

Once in the store, visitors find the star of the show in the back behind a cornucopia of impulse buys: snacks and cold drinks in the convenience store, tchotchkes and t-shirts with witty slogans in the souvenir shop.

Five stars.

Not that there are many any other options for laundry services in Dubois, but when it’s wash day and you see this entrance are you really going to keep driving?

Besides, I like the owner’s no-nonsense approach:

My only complaint is the business’s name which, while descriptive, lacks a certain art.
